KISHTWAR, MARCH 10: In a fervent display of commitment towards promotion of the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, the 52 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) orchestrated a vibrant Bike Rally that roared through the township of Kishtwar today.

Parma Shivan, CO – 52 Bn CRPF, ceremoniously flagged off the rally, marking a collective effort to promote a drug-free India. The rally comprised 32 bikes and saw enthusiastic participation from 43 individuals, including civilians and youths of Kishtwar.

The journey began and concluded at the headquarters of 52 Bn CRPF in PDC Colony.

As part of its support, the CRPF provided fuel, refreshments, and participation certificates to all the participants, reinforcing the community’s involvement in the anti-narcotics campaign.

Earlier the day before, as part of the ongoing Civic Action Programme, the 52 Bn CRPF successfully concluded an Open Volleyball Championship held at the Unit Headquarters in PDC Colony from March 7, 2024, to March 8, 2024.

Participating teams, including All-Mighty Volleyball Club Kishtwar, Bera Bhata, Sangrambhata, Higher Secondary School Kishtwar, Rumaan Volleyball, Young Star Bhatyas, Drabhshalla Spikers, and Matta Volleyball, showcased exceptional sportsmanship.

In a thrilling competition, the semifinalist teams—All Mighty Volleyball, Drabhshalla Spikers, Young Star Bhatyas, and Bera Bhata—battled fiercely for supremacy. The 52 Bn CRPF contributed to the event by providing full kits, including jerseys, to all semifinalist teams.

The grand finale witnessed an intense match between All Mighty Volleyball Club Kishtwar and Drabhshalla Spikers, with All Mighty Volleyball Club Kishtwar emerging victorious. Drabhshalla Spikers secured the runner-up position.

To recognize the exemplary performance, the winning team received a cash prize of Rs. 15,000, along with a trophy and gold medals for each player. The runner-up team was awarded Rs. 10,000, a trophy, and silver medals for all participants.

This dual initiative by the 52 Bn CRPF not only promotes physical fitness and sportsmanship but also underscores the collective resolve to create a drug-free and healthy environment in Kishtwar.
