KISHTWAR, JUNE 3: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of Special 26 day IEC Campaign launched under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

At the outset, the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Zubair Ahmed informed the meeting that a calendar of activities has been chalked out to organise sports tournaments, yoga camps, poster-making, street plays, awareness seminars and community engagement activities from June 1 to June 26, 2025.

The DC directed for organizing a mega awareness campaign with sports and yoga activities at Devigol, Bunjwah with the target to engage 4,000 to 5,000 people.

He further asked for organizing a National-level Mushaiara at the District Headquarters on June 26, 2025 (International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking), to raise awareness and promote collective efforts against drug addiction.

The meeting was attended by PO ICDS, Dr. Rishi Sharma; CEO KDA Kishtwar, Kesar Bhawani; CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali; ACR Idrees Lone; DSWO Zubair Ahmed besides concerned officers from Police & Civil departments.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen community-based efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
