BHADERWAH, APRIL 23: As part of the ongoing 100 Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, an awareness programme on perils of drug abuse was conducted today at Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr Tanveer Ahmed Rather and overall supervision of BMO Dr. Versha Sharma. The event witnessed active participation from the hospital staff, officials from health sub-centres and ASHAs working across the block.
Dr. Versha Sharma delivered an informative lecture highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families and society at large. She emphasized the importance of community awareness, early intervention and the collective responsibility of healthcare workers in combating substance abuse.
The session aimed to sensitize frontline health workers about their crucial role in spreading awareness and identifying vulnerable individuals within the community.
The programme concluded with all participants taking a pledge to work actively towards a drug free society and to contribute wholeheartedly to the success of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
