Jammu, September 9: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) reaffirmed its commitment to secularism, brotherhood, and the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a significant function organized by Tejinder Singh, District President of the NC Youth Wing (Jammu Urban District), dozens of enthusiastic youth joined the party in the presence of dynamic youth leaders Zahir Abdullah and Zamir Abdullah at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu.

Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of JKNC, was the chief guest at the event and welcomed the new members to the party fold.

Speaking on the occasion, the senior NC leader Rattan Lal strongly condemned the statement of BJP leader, accusing the National Conference of attempting to revive terrorism through its manifesto. He termed these allegations as baseless and an attempt to divert attention from the real issues.

“National Conference has always stood for peace, secularism, and democracy. We have sacrificed hundreds of our party workers to keep democracy alive in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, adding that the NC manifesto is a commitment to the development and prosperity of the region, while the BJP’s manifesto is nothing but a bundle of lies designed to mislead the public.

Earlier in the program, Naresh Kumar, a prominent youth leader from Bahu Fort, along with dozens of his supporters, officially joined the National Conference.

Welcoming him, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary JKNC, called upon all party workers to dedicate themselves to ensuring a resounding victory for the National Conference in the upcoming Assembly elections. He said youth is a future of J&K and should work unitedly to strengthen the  party at gross root level.

Tejinder Singh also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the need for youth to play an active role in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the youth that the National Conference will continue to fight for their rights and create opportunities for them to thrive.

On the occasion, Naresh Kumar was also nominated as Ward President 47, reflecting the party’s trust in his leadership and dedication to the cause.

The joining programme concluded with a strong sense of unity and commitment to the party’s values of secularism and inclusive development.
