JAMMU, OCTOBER 08: National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) Regional Office Jammu on Thursday organized One day Road Safety workshop here at KC Residency Hotel witnessing participation of Students and staff members from Government Higher Secondary School Jullaka Mohalla, Engineers & Non-Technical Staff of RO NHIDCL Jammu, besides EPC Contractors & Authority Engineer participated.
Transport Commissioner J&K Vishesh Paul Mahajan was the chief guest. Addressing the participants, he stressed the importance of following traffic rules and adopting safe and responsible behaviour on the road. He also encouraged the students to spread the message of road safety among their families and friends and act as ambassadors of the road safety campaign.
Executive Director, NHIDCL, RO Jammu Ashish Shukla along with LA & Coord., NHIDCL Babu Ram also addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of creating road safety awareness among young people, who can play an important role in promoting safe and responsible road behaviour.
The programme also featured informative talks by ARTO Bipin Singh Charak; Ex-Principal, RIHFW Nagrota Dr. Manoj Bhagat; Principal, Government Higher Secondary School Jullaka Mohalla Romesh Lal Sharma and Motor Vehicle Inspector Surinder Kumar. The speakers shared useful information with the students on traffic rules, safe road practices, accident prevention and responsible road behaviour.
