SHOPIAN, MARCH 11: ITI Shopian in collaboration with District Industries Centre Shopian today organised one day awareness programme cum mela about apprenticeship scheme.
The event was attended by various stakeholders viz. potential apprentices and employers from various sectors of district.
The Apprenticeship Mela is a unique platform that brings together students, industry professionals and educators to celebrate the accomplishments of apprenticeship programs. It also provides an opportunity for aspiring individuals to connect with industry experts, explore diverse career paths, and gain valuable insights into the job market demand and modern skills required for these jobs.
The Mela invoked interest amongst the stakeholders including MSME and other corporate units to participate in unique scheme of earn while learn and also provided awareness to the youth on various opportunities existing across the participating establishments and industries.
The Nodal Officer of apprenticeship, Syed Suhail Zia gave detailed presentation on the apprenticeship scheme and gave the real time example about process flow involved in the scheme viz. process of registration on portal of both apprentices and industries, updating of vacancies on portal, showing of interest in various openings, generation of contracts, direct benefit transfer of wages to employers and employees, on job training and certification process involved in the scheme.
The various unit holders and corporate units also spoke on the occasion and gave brief on various vacancies in their units and work culture of industry, and motivated students to join unique scheme to gain experience and know how about the modern jobs.
