RAJOURI, APRIL 18: A day-long training-cum-orientation program for Yuva Doots was successfully organized today by District Employment & Counselling Centre Rajouri here on the ITI campus . The programme was held for training and capacity building of YUVA DOOTS under the directions of District Development Commissioner Abhishek Sharma.

The inaugural session was chaired by (Nodal Officer)-Mission Yuva, Additional District Development Commissioner Dr Raj Kumar Thappa. The programme was organized under the supervision of Assistant Director, District Employment & Counselling Centre Pradyot Gupta.

In the inaugural address, Dr Raj Kumar Thappa sensitized the Yuva Doots about their role and responsibilities under Mission YUVA. He said that Mission Yuva is an ambitious initiative to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He encouraged the YUVA DOOTS to act as catalysts of change and assured them of full administrative support in overcoming challenges in the field. He underlined the importance of youth-led development and community participation in building a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district.

The Assistant Director District Employment & Counselling Centre said that the training is aimed to equip YUVA DOOTS with the necessary skills and knowledge to identify and support potential entrepreneurs in their respective panchayats.

Yuva Doots who attended the training were trained extensively on their roles as grassroots motivators, responsible for spreading awareness about various self-employment schemes and facilitating youth engagement at the village level. The training session emphasized the importance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monitoring the effectiveness of the initiative, ensuring that the YUVA DOOTS remain result-oriented in their approach.

An important highlight of the orientation was the demonstration of the live APP model associated with the Mission YUVA scheme, which will be used for real-time data collection and monitoring. Detailed insights from the baseline survey—conducted earlier to identify youth with entrepreneurial potential were also discussed, enabling the DOOTS to understand the scope and focus areas of intervention. The training covered all relevant parameters including mobilization techniques, scheme benefits, documentation, and reporting formats.

The main speakers of the event included Ujjwal Mahajan, Principal ITI, Rajouri, Sanjeev Bhasin ( Lead District Manager ,J&K Bank) Rajouri, Rafaqit Aziz (Functional Manager, DIC) & Arshad Malik (DNO ,JKEDI). These members provided sector-specific guidance and shared their expertise on streamlining efforts for effective implementation of the Mission YUVA scheme.

The interactive sessions held during the training which fostered active discussions and allowed the DOOTS to seek clarifications and share suggestions.
