Srinagar, Apr 04 : The residents of Pahroo Chowk, Nowgam in Srinagar Thursday demanded the authorities to launch e-bus service in the locality.
The demand for e-bus service comes as a response to the increasing need for efficient and eco-friendly public transportation options in the locality.
Speaking to the news agency the locals said that with growing could significantly improve the quality of life in Nowgam.
They added, “We need modern transportation solutions that not only address our mobility needs but also contribute to reducing our carbon footprint.”
A resident said, the induction of e-buses is the way forward. “These buses are clean, quiet, and offer a sustainable alternative to conventional diesel vehicles. Also, there is a higher need for these buses in our area, as we are worried because of no transport being available for several hours,” he said.
He added that only Sumo and local bus services operate in the area, and we face several problems while navigating our daily routine.
