DODA, MAY 09: As part of the ongoing 100 Day Nasha Mukti Jammu & Kashmir Campaign, an awareness programme on substance abuse prevention was organized today at Taran Paramedical Institute Ghat.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tanveer Ahmed and under the supervision of local BMO Dr. Abdul Gafoor.
BMO Dr. Abdul Gafoor delivered a detailed awareness lecture and sensitized the students about the harmful effects of substance abuse on health, education, family and society. He urged the youth to stay away from intoxicants and actively participate in spreading awareness in their communities.
Meanwhile, a symposium on substance abuse prevention was also organized, featuring thought provoking presentations by Fiza Anjum, Kajol Devi and Aqib Hussain- all students.
At the end, prizes were distributed among the participants, followed by a pledge ceremony wherein all attendees pledged to work collectively towards building a drug free society.
