BANDIPORA, JUNE 02: Various educational institutions across district Bandipora on Tuesday organised peer selection programmes, pledge ceremonies and awareness activities under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) to promote anti-drug awareness and student leadership.

At Government High School Naidkhai, a peer selection programme titled “Leaders” was organised under NMBA to identify responsible students who would promote anti-drug awareness among their peers. Similar awareness activities were conducted at High School Koragbal and High School Ketson, where students participated in programmes highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

At HSS Quilmuqam, a Peer Selection, Leader Selection and Pledge Taking Ceremony was organised in which students and staff members actively participated. The selected peer leaders pledged to uphold the values of leadership, responsibility, discipline and teamwork.

Meanwhile, under the 100-days Anti-Drug Campaign, HSS Gadakhud organised a peer leader selection programme through a voting process. Selected student leaders were entrusted with promoting anti-drug awareness and discouraging substance abuse within and outside the institution.

A pledge ceremony against substance abuse was also organised at HSS Chuntimulla, while HSS Nowgam conducted a Peer Selection-Leaders programme under NMBA.

The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff members, reflecting the continued commitment of educational institutions towards creating awareness and strengthening preventive outreach under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
