REASI, OCTOBER 15: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting transparency and ensuring timely resolution of pension-related grievances, the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), J&K, Jammu in coordination with the District Administration Reasi today organized a Pension Adalat at the District Headquarters.
The Pension Adalat was presided over by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Deputy Accountant General Pawan Kumar Rathi accompanied by ATO Satyam Magotra.
Around 60 people including pensioners, family pensioners, Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), Pension Sanctioning Authorities (PSAs) and other concerned officials participated in the program.
The event provided a platform for retired employees and pensioners to raise their issues and seek redress of long-pending pension cases. Officers from the Accountant General’s Office and District Administration were present to listen to the grievances and resolve them on the spot, wherever possible.
Additional District Development Commissioner Sukhdev Singh Samyal emphasized that the Pension Adalat serves as an important mechanism to ensure efficiency, transparency and accountability in the pension disbursement process. They reiterated the government’s commitment to safeguard the rights and welfare of pensioners, who have dedicated their service to public institutions.
Retired employees attended the Adalat and appreciated the initiative for bringing grievance redressal closer to their doorsteps.
The District Administration assured continued cooperation with the AG’s Office to facilitate prompt settlement of pension cases and to strengthen the welfare mechanisms for pensioners in the district.
