Anantnag, May 15 : Former chief minister of erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state and President National Conference (NC) Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to divide the nation just for power only.

Talking to reporters after addressing workers meeting in Shangus area of Anantnag district, Dr Farooq as per the news agency, said that in order to save this nation, Hindus and Muslims have to live together.

He said that for a better future for the coming generations Hindus, Muslims and people of other religions will have to work together.

He said that PM Modi is trying to divide the nation from his chair, saying that in such a way, Modi is trying to do destruction.

About allegations Farooq is also playing religious card, he said that he isn’t playing any religious card but he is informing people about the situation.

“All the religions teach us good things. All religions are good,” he added.

He said that Modi is creating disturbance and hatred by visiting religious places like Ram Mandir but he must know that Ram belongs to each and everyone.

Reacting to a query, Dr Farooq stated that he doesn’t have powers to provoke anyone, adding that she was willing to contest elections separately and thus are fighting the Lok Sabha polls without forging any alliance
