RAMBAN, JULY 08: The Rural Development Department (RDD), Ramban District, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, is diligently working to ensure that the benefits of all Rural Development Department sector schemes reach eligible beneficiaries across the district.
Wazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Latief a resident of Panchayat Pernote in Block Ramban, was living in a vulnerable mud house. His family suffered greatly during the rainy season due to the poor condition of the roof, the mud floor, and multiple cracks in the walls. The house was in depilated condition, posing a significant risk of a mishap.
Recognizing the dire situation, the RDD sanctioned a house to Wazir Ahmed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in the fiscal year 2023-24. In accordance with the eligibility list, an amount of ₹1.30 Lakh was transferred to his bank account in three installments at different levels.
Additionally, Wazir Ahmed was provided with an Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) unit under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and 90 days of employment under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
With comprehensive support from the RDD Block Ramban, Wazir Ahmed has successfully built a sturdy Pacca House. He and his family now live in a home that offers safety from natural calamities and brought immense joy and relief to his family.
The RDD is working to improve the living conditions of the people in Ramban District, ensuring that every eligible citizen can benefit from the various welfare schemes, especially PMAY.
