RAMBAN, JUNE 13: In a move to enhance accountability and rejuvenate Anganwadi centers across the district, PO ICDS Ramban, Jahangir Hashmi has mandated a comprehensive audit of provisions and supplies at all Anganwadi Centers. This audit will encompass play equipment, utensils, mats, medical supplies, and supplements to ensure that the necessary tools are available for the beneficiary children.
The PO ICDS emphasized that the core objective of the Poshan scheme is the holistic development of children aged six months to six years.
He highlighted the scheme’s evolution from providing mere cooked nutrition supplements to encompassing Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), growth monitoring, and comprehensive health development. The ultimate goal is to prepare healthy children for school.
