District Administration Samba rebuts claims of slow renewal of Individual Arms Licences
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsappTelegram

SAMBA, JUNE 13: The District Administration of Samba refutes recent claims suggesting a slow renewal process for individual arms licences within the district.

A total of 921 applications have been received on the NDAL portal, with effect from 1st January, 2023 to 31st May, 2024. Out of these, 750 applications have undergone thorough scrutiny and have been forwarded to the police department for verification. Following the verification process, 674 applications have been received back from the police department.

It is worthwhile to mention here that since last one year, more than 500 individual arms licences have successfully been renewed.

Furthermore some applications couldn’t be processed due to various reasons, including the non-submission of required fees, missing NOCs, incorrect forms, and in certain cases, the presence of FIRs lodged against applicants.
The District Administration is committed to ensuring a smooth and efficient process for the renewal of individual arms licences and urges all applicants to ensure the correct and complete submission of their documents to facilitate timely processing.
