Police arrests four gamblers in Sopore

Sopore: Police in Sopore arrested four gamblers and seized stake money from their possession, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that following an input about gambling activities in orchards at Sangrama, a police party raided the gambling site and arrested four gamblers.
They have been identified as Mohammad Ramzan Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Arampora Sopore, Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Subhan Bhat resident of Chinkipora Sopore, Feroz Ahmad Ganie son of Mohammad Maqbool Ganie resident of Hathishah Ningli and Nasrat Rasool Sofi son of Ghulam Rasool Sofi resident of Panjipora.
Officers have seized stake money of ?1,03,000/- and playing cards from the gamblers. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, the spokesman added.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 13/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been initiated, he added.
