Srinagar: J&K Police have recovered a kidnapped girl in Srinagar and arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime, a police spokesman said.
In a handout issued here, the police spokesman said that Police Station Bemina received a written application on June 16 from a resident of Khosa Mohalla Khumani Chowk who complained that that his daughter was kidnapped by Tanveer Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Afzal Dar resident of Khumani Chowk Bemina.
“Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 54/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated,” the handout reads.
During the course of investigation and with strenuous efforts of Police, the kidnapped girl was recovered and the said accused was also arrested from Zadibal area of Srinagar, it reads.
“After completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs,” the handout reads.
