Reasi, Sep 24,: A devastating accident occurred in the Tuksan Jabbara Morh area of Mahoor sub-division in Reasi district, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a policeman.
Officials said that the vehicle, registered as JK11A 3907, was carrying polling staff when it fell 100 meters into a gorge at approximately 3:00 pm. Constable Ajaz Khan and driver Javed Ahmed lost their lives in the tragic incident.
Ajay Kumar, an Election Zonal Magistrate, was injured and is currently receiving medical treatment. Reports indicate that his condition is stable.
The polling staff was on patrol, reviewing the election process, when the accident occurred.
‘Police investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident,” officials said.
