POONCH, OCTOBER 8: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA met today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma here at the DC Office Complex.

The committee approved 419 fresh Loan assistance cases under Mission YUVA, marking another major milestone in promoting entrepreneurship, self-employment and youth empowerment.

The meeting was attended by General Manager DIC Khalid Wafa; Deputy Director Employment, Abdul Majid Tantray and other members of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU).

The members actively participated in the deliberations and shared valuable inputs to enhance transparency and efficiency in the implementation process.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders for the timely processing and disbursement of approved cases. He reiterated that Mission YUVA is not merely a financial support program but a transformative initiative aimed at empowering youth and fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district.

The concerned departments were directed to maintain block-wise, panchayat-wise and activity-wise records of sanctioned cases for effective monitoring and evaluation. The Lead District Manager (LDM) was asked to ensure speedy disbursement of approved cases to facilitate early start of beneficiary ventures.

Highlighting Mission YUVA as a key driver of employment generation, Sharma called for regular field verification and follow-up to ensure all sanctioned projects are implemented as per approved plans. He urged all implementing agencies to provide continuous mentoring and handholding support to beneficiaries.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all DLIC and SBDU members to work with renewed dedication and integrity toward making Poonch district a model of youth empowerment and entrepreneurship in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
