Poshan Pakhwada event held at Satwari: Participants sensitized about right nutrition, health, hygiene

JAMMU, APRIL 19: As part of 7th Edition of Rashtriya Poshan Pakhwada, a mega event was organised by Office of the Child Development Project Officer Poshan Project Satwari.

Mission Director, Mission Poshan J&K Kishori Lal Sharma was the Chief Guest. District Programme Officer Poshan Jammu, Pankaj Anand was the Guest of Honour.

The event was attended by staff of CDPO Office, Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers and beneficiaries of the project including children, Pregnant Women & Lactating mothers.

The event focused on promotion of core themes of Rashtriya Poshan Pakhwada 2025 like First 1000 days of life, beneficiary module on Poshan tracker, Malnutrition Management through CMAM, Healthy lifestyle and obesity in children. The participants were imparted awareness about the right nutrition, health, hygiene and lifestyle modifications for overall welfare and well being of the masses.

The officials encouraged the participants to take maximum benefits of different schemes of Mission Poshan by enrolling themselves in AWCs and to adopt healthy lifestyle and sustainable food habits. The children were felicitated by stationery kits while baby care kits were distributed among the Lactating mothers.

The event featured a cultural program as the field functionaries of Poshan project Satwari presented the theme-based Group songs and Skits. Further, stage activities/poems were presented by the child beneficiaries. Various paintings, drawings made by children along with thematic posters and charts, ECCE material were displayed to promote the theme of the event.

MD Kishori Lal Sharma highlighted the role and importance of Poshan (Right Nutrition), proper growth monitoring, anemia testing, significance of Poshan Tracker, environmental sustainability and Health and Nutrition Education.

The event concluded with the Vote of thanks by Tanvi Gupta, Child Development Project Officer Poshan Project Satwari.
