Kishtwar, 19 Sep: Under the distinguished leadership of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS), and the supervision of CMO Kishtwar, Dr. Mohd Yaqoob Mir, a program involving Nikshay Mitras from the Health Department and District Administration was held at the DC office in Kishtwar today.
This event was skillfully organized by the dedicated team of the District Tuberculosis Centre in Kishtwar. Notably, the newly registered Nikshay Mitras, who have taken up the responsibility of supporting TB patients and distributing Nikshay Poshan Baskets among them, were acknowledged.
The primary aim of this program was to raise awareness about Tuberculosis (TB) in alignment with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP). Distinguished officers and officials from various departments, including the Health Department, actively participated in the event, during which 21 TB patients were provided with essential food kits.
The event echoed the resounding slogan, “TB Harega Desh Jeetega, TB Mukt Bharat” (TB will lose, India will win), underscoring the urgent need to eradicate TB from our nation and work towards a TB-free India.
Furthermore, CMO Kishtwar appealed to the general public and District officers of Kishtwar to step forward, adopt TB patients, and unite in the collective effort to eliminate TB from the District of Kishtwar.
