DC inspects functioning of several WSSs; emphasizes timely completion of all JJM works to ensure clean & safe drinking water to people

Progress on JJM Works reviewed in Yaripora area of Kulgam

KULGAM, DECEMBER 04: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today conducted a tour of various areas in Yaripora area to review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works.

The DC inspected several key projects, including the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Tarigam-Hawooora, where he was briefed by the Executive Engineer that the WSS will be ready for commissioning soon with a cost of Rs. 13.17 crore.

During his visit, the DC also inspected WSS Kader-Turigam and also assessed the functioning of Demidulla Water Supply scheme.

He emphasized the importance of timely completion of all JJM work projects in the district to ensure that the people of Kulgam have access to clean and safe drinking water.

The DC instructed the concerned officials to work in coordination to ensure the smooth execution of JJM works in their respective areas.

He also directed them to expedite the completion of ongoing projects to meet the set deadlines.
Accompanying the Deputy Commissioner during the visit were the Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Executive Engineers, Tehsildar and other concerned officers.
