SRINAGAR, MAY 11: The prime focus of present dispensation is to ensure prompt redress of public grievances through a responsive and people-centric governance.

Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, stated this during his exclusive interaction with scores of public delegations who called on him today from various parts of Kashmir Division at the Civil Secretariat here. He took stock their grievances and developmental concerns.

The delegations apprised the Minister of several issues pertaining to repair and upgradation of roads and streets, transfer-related matters, adequate irrigation water supply and other developmental requirements concerning their respective areas.

During the interaction, the Minister assured the delegations that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time-bound and through close coordination with the concerned departments.

Javid Dar reiterated that public grievance redress remains a prime focus of the government. He emphasized that sustained public outreach and direct interaction are essential for ensuring transparent, accountable and efficient governance. He stated that the Omar Abdullah government is working with dedication to strengthen the basic infrastructure, enhance service delivery mechanisms and ensure equitable development across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Minister directed the concerned officers to take immediate cognizance of the issues raised and initiate necessary measures for their early resolution.
