Srinagar: CPI (M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami Saturday expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic fire mishap that reduced several residential houses to ashes in Mansoor Colony locality of Bemina and Gadood Bagh area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
“Keeping in view the onset of the harsh and chilly winter, he urged the administration to depute revenue teams to assess the losses incurred by the victims, so that the value of compensation is fixed and distributed among them immediately,” Tarigami said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He demanded adequate compensation and rehabilitation of these affectees. He also appealed to the common masses to take extra precautions while using electronic gadgets in the winter.
