Punish those spewing venom

Things have lately taken a bad turn after the members of a Dharam Sansad in Haridwar openly called for the genocide of the minority community in the country. The speeches which the participants of the Sansad made, were shocking, unimaginable and gross—which called for prompt action from the police and the Government. However, so far, any stern action has been missing from the scene even as those who made such speeches were seen criminally justifying the same.
After the event, a photo was circulated in which the members of the Dharam Sansad along with the police officers were seen in a very cordial manner even as those people who openly called for genocide of the minorities were nothing more than criminals whose speeches could have incited communal violence.
More so, the CM of Uttrakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, in one more photo was seen taking the blessings of Swami Nityanand who has been at the forefront in calling for the genocide.
It is appalling to witness that there has not been any concrete action against the organizers of the Dharam Sansad in Haridwar including those who spewed venom against a particular community.
Though, we have seen that the Government including that of police in any state of the country has remained quite swift in taking action in the cases of ‘religious hate.’ However, in the case of Dharam Sansad, the Govt as well as the law enforcement agencies by maintaining silence are committing a much bigger crime.
There is a need for taking measures to protect the secular outlook of the country, the country which was not formed based on any religion—where people from all the religions live together and work for the peace and prosperity of their motherland.
