Refresher training in Basic Veterinary Practices imparted to Paravets

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 05: Disease Investigation Laboratory (S&G), Kartholi Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu organized a refresher Training Programme for Paravets on Basic Veterinary Practices and Diagnosis under CSS-ASCAD 2024-25.

The four day orientation started on Feb 4, 2025 and will continue till Feb 7, 2025, benefiting 35 Paravets from all the districts of the Jammu Division. They will be imparted training on different emerging diseases in Sheep and Goats, their diagnosis, treatments and preventive measures to be undertaken along with latest reproductive technologies being adopted to enhance the socio economic status of Sheep/Goat breeders

Director Sheep Husbandry Department Dr. Syed Moin ul Haq delivered a keynote lecture, discussing different schemes being implemented by the Department. He advised the trainees to learn advance techniques in disease diagnosis from this Refresher Training for the welfare of the livestock.

Later, the Director also inspected under construction wool Mandi at Kartholi Complex.
Those present on the occasion were Deputy Director (Central) Dr. Surinder Gupta, Research Officer DIL Kartholi Dr. R.B. Singh and Principal Sheep and Wool Workers Training Class, Kartholi Dr. Pritam Manhas and others.
