JAMMU, MAY 10: District Election Officer Sachin Kumar Vaishya, also the Returning Officer for 5-Jammu Parliamentary Constituency, convened a meeting today to review the plan for counting on June 4.
SSP Dr Vinod Kumar, Assistant Returning Officers, various election Nodal Officers and Director IT (DIO NIC) Jammu, Sanjeev Kapoor were present in the meeting.

The RO led a comprehensive review of arrangements concerning operations, logistics, equipment handling, signage installation and security.

Director IT Sanjeev Kapoor was assigned the responsibility of training the counting staff, including AROs and Micro Observers, for the Electronically Transferred Postal Ballot Management System (ETPBMS). Training is set to commence from May 13.

Officers were also instructed to oversee barricading and parking management, with special emphasis on security access through proper security passes. Additionally, arrangements for staff welfare, such as food, drinking water and other basic amenities, were meticulously reviewed by the RO.

The District Election Officer directed all concerned officers to ensure timely completion of the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the counting process.
