POONCH, JANUARY 09: Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on Thursday granted route permits to different mode of vehicles here at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal convened a meeting of the
The Deputy Commissioner, who is the Chairman of the RTA, along with other members, meticulously reviewed applications for road permits.

A total of 28 applications for Tata Magic vehicles were received, of which 27 were approved. Additionally, the only application seeking minibus permit and all 6 applications for auto rickshaw permits were also sanctioned.

Furthermore, 07 out of 9 applications for change and extension of routes were approved, while two tata sumo permits were approved for renewal.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of conducting feasibility studies for the operation of mini buses on the newly approved routes, instructing the concerned authorities to collaborate with the District Transport Inspector (DTI) for formulating comprehensive reports.

The DC asked the concerned officer to identify the Stands for commercial vehicles to minimize the congestion in the city.

Moreover, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officer to ensure proper traffic regulation and take necessary action against violators, underscoring the commitment to maintaining order on the roads.
