RAJOURI, JULY 04: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today launched the Sampoornata Abhiyan in Aspirational Block Khawas, marking a significant milestone in the developmental journey of the district.
DDC Member Budhal Old-A, Shazia Kouser; DDC Member Moughla, Shamim Akhter; DDC Member Budhal New, Nasreen Akhter and ADC Koteranka, Dil Mir, besides district/sectoral officers local public and former PRI members attended the launch event. The objective of the Sampoornata Abhiyan is to saturate the specified indicators in the Aspirational Block within a span of three months (from 4th of July 2024 to 30 September 2024) through an Action Plan, thereby fulfilling the principle of Sampoornata.
The District Development Commissioner, in his address, stressed the significance of Aspirational Blocks, stating that Block Khawas is one of the 500 identified blocks in the country and 10th in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that these blocks require special focus to transform them into inspirational ones.
The DDC explained that a special strategy for the development of the block was framed during 2023-24, and new works have been initiated. He emphasized that the current phase (2024-25) is focused on saturation, where all six KPIs, out 40+1 prioritized indicators, must be achieved at the specified time. He laid special emphasis on synergy among stakeholders to accomplish these goals.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Sheraz Chowhan, Nodal Officer for the program, highlighted the importance of Sampoornata Abhiyan, emphasizing its goal of achieving 100% saturation of six key performance indicators (KPIs) in the block.
DDC members and ADC Koteranka also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in achieving the goals of Sampoornata Abhiyan.
During the event, certain issues were raised by the public. The DDC Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat gave a patient hearing and issued directions to the concerned officers to resolve the same promptly.
The launch of Sampoornata Abhiyan in Block Khawas marks a significant step towards achieving comprehensive development in the district. The program aims to transform Aspirational Blocks into inspirational ones, ensuring holistic growth and prosperity for the region.
