SANKALP: HEW Kishtwar sensitises Tribal Women on Menstrual Hygiene, provides Sanitary ,Napkin

KISHTWAR JANUARY 31: SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women Kishtwar organized an awareness program for tribal women across various locations in and around Bhandarkoot and Juggi areas of Kishtwar.

The initiative aimed to educate women about the menstrual hygiene practices and provide them sanitary napkins, ensuring improved health and well-being.

The Women were informed about the importance of using sanitary napkins, maintaining hygiene during the menstrual cycle, and adopting safe disposal methods to prevent infections. The interactive discussions allowed participants to openly share their concerns and gain clarity on menstrual health issues.

As part of the initiative, free sanitary napkins were distributed among the attendees to address accessibility challenges. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, emphasizing how such initiatives contribute to their overall health and dignity.

The awareness drive was well received, with many participants expressing a desire for continued engagement on women’s health and hygiene.

This program underscores SANKALP’s commitment to empowering women through awareness and action, ensuring that every woman has the knowledge and resources to manage her menstrual health safely and with dignity.
