Sarpanch shot dead in Kulgam by unknown gunmen: police

Kulgam: A Sarpanch affiliated with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Audura area of Kulgam on Friday.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a Sarpanch identified as Shabir Ahmad Mir, son of Abdullah Mir was fired upon by unidentified gunmen at Audua area.
He was immediately taken to DH hospital here where doctors declared him brought dead.
Medical Superintendent of DH Kulgam told KNO that he had received bullet in abdomen and was brought dead at hospital—(KNO)
