JAMMU, APRIL 30: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, and Information Technology, Satish Sharma, today extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima.
In his message, the Minister recalled the teachings of Gautama Buddha and emphasized their enduring relevance in guiding humanity towards peace, compassion, and non-violence.
He said that the values of love, tolerance, and selfless service preached by Buddha are timeless and hold greater significance in today’s world, which calls for harmony, mutual respect, and understanding among all sections of society.
Highlighting the importance of communal harmony and brotherhood, the Minister said that the occasion provides an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to peaceful coexistence and respect for diversity.
Satish Sharma prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation as a whole.
