Schools reopen in Kashmir Valley after Winter Vacations

SRINAGAR, MARCH 07: Following re-opening of schools after months long winter break, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr. G. N. Itoo today participated in morning prayer during the morning assembly of Government Model Higher Secondary School Kokernag in a remote area of Anantnag district and shared the joy of school opening with the children.

On the occasion, the Director School Education Kashmir spoke to the children in their mother tongue and inquired about various activities during the winter vacations.

DSEK addressed the teachers and asked them to equip the children with moral education, become role models for the them, and to keep the surrounding environment clean besides protecting water bodies.

Dr. Itoo urged the teachers to provide awareness to the children about the harmful effects of drugs especially on Wednesdays in view of the current challenges of the society and to play their full role in character building of the children.

He emphasized that children should use mobile phones properly so that they do not have negative effects on their minds.
