ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 10: To address the grievances and concerns of the local community especially related to the ensuing winter season, the Sub divisional Administration Kokernag under the directions of Deputy Commissioner and aegis of Rural Development Department, Anantnag organised a community outreach and grievance redressal programme, Block Diwas today at Dandipora, Larnoo.
The programme was presided over by SDM Kokernag, Prince Kumar and witnessed participation from ACD, Tehsildar and BDO Larnoo, ZEO Vailoo, AEE PDD, officers and officials from R&B, PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Animal Husbandry, JK Bank and other departments, members of civil society and general public.
During the program, the SDM gave a patient hearing to the residents who raised issues pertaining to road connectivity, healthcare services, rationalisation of teachers, JJM works, availability of men and machinery for snow clearance, disbursement of credit under self employment schemes, minimising man animal conflicts and provision of fire wood, among others.
Addressing the gathering, the SDM reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to the time-bound resolution of all genuine grievances, assuring that issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for effective redressal. He issued on-spot directions to the concerned officers to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of genuine concerns raised by the public.
On the occasion, the representatives of various departments imparted awareness to the participants about respective beneficiary oriented schemes and welfare initiatives.
Locals hailed the initiative hoping such programs will continue in future for their betterment and welfare.
