POONCH, MAY 9: Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting regarding implementation of various schemes under the Rural Development Department (RDD), Panchayati Raj (PR) Department, Vibrant Village Programme-II and other developmental initiatives at Poonch.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, presented a detailed PowerPoint Presentation highlighting the status of all schemes being implemented in the district under the Vibrant Village Programme-II. The presentation covered the number of sanctioned works, completed projects, ongoing works, expenditure incurred and the overall physical and financial progress achieved so far.
The Secretary conducted a detailed review of the progress under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), including labour budget performance across all blocks of the district.
He also reviewed the implementation and progress of various schemes including PMAY, NRLM, TSP, BDC, DDC grants, SSY, CD and Panchayat works, PMAAGY and other developmental initiatives.
The meeting also discussed the status of construction works under BRGF, including Common Facility Centres and Panchayat Ghars sanctioned during the previous financial year. Physical progress, expenditure details and completion timelines of various projects were reviewed thoroughly.
All the concerned officers briefed the Administrative Secretary about the status of works under their respective departments and sectors in detail.
While reviewing the progress, the Administrative Secretary directed the officers to ensure timely completion of works, achieve the set expenditure targets and maintain effective implementation of all schemes. He further instructed the officers to submit the Vibrant Village Programme plans along with a detailed gap analysis to ensure focused and need-based development in the border villages.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the district administration and officials of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
