DODA, SEPTEMBER 25: To strengthen the implementation of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) at the grassroots level and enhance the knowledge and skills of field staff, a one day sensitization and training programme for Senior Treatment Supervisors (STS) of District Doda was today conducted here at the CMO Office.
The programme was held under the supervision of District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) Doda-Kishtwar Dr Raj Kumar Sharma.
The training session was conducted by WHO Consultant J&K Dr Ishfaq Nazir. He provided hands-on training to the concerned staff on various NTEP indicators, Nikshay Portal reporting, documentation, monitoring and other programme-related activities. Emphasis was laid on accurate and timely reporting, proper maintenance of records and strengthening follow-up mechanisms for TB patients.
He also interacted with the participants and addressed their field level queries, providing practical guidance on resolving common challenges encountered during implementation and reporting under NTEP.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raj Kumar Sharma stressed upon the participants to ensure effective implementation of NTEP activities at the grassroots level. He highlighted the importance of timely reporting, quality documentation, regular monitoring and coordinated efforts by field staff for achieving the objectives of TB elimination. He urged the STSs to utilize the training effectively and ensure that programme guidelines are implemented in letter and spirit across the district.
Mashhood Latif, BM&EO NHM Ghat and Nodal Officer NTEP Doda were also present on the occasion.
