Srinagar, Feb 24 : Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid on Saturday hoped that the restrictions on Jamia Masjid’s head cleric, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq will be lifted in view of Shab-e-Baraat.
According to a statement issued to the news agency—, Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid announced that the auspicious ceremony of Shab-e-Baraat will be observed with full devotion and respect at Jama Masjid Srinagar on the night of February 25 2024, 14 Shabaan 1445 AH.
In this regard, Isha prayers will be offered at 9.30 pm, the statement said.
The Secretary Auqaf in a statement expressed hope that the restrictions imposed by the government on the religious activities of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq will be lifted in view of this holy night so that he can lead the Istighfaar Majlis in addition to shedding light on the virtues and importance of Shab-e-Baraat at Jama Masjid, Srinagar, after Isha prayers.
