DODA, JUNE 25: The annual Shiya Dhar Yatra, a significant religious pilgrimage from Doda to Shiya Dhar in Kulhand, was flagged off today amidst an atmosphere of devotion and cultural unity.

The event was led by DDC Chairman Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal, Mission Director HADP/JKCIP, Sandeep Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh and SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta along with other officials and community leaders.

The yatra commenced from the district headquarters with loud chants, prayers, and vibrant participation from devotees. Religious leaders and the local populace gathered in large numbers to offer their blessings to the yatris, marking the beginning of a spiritually uplifting journey. The Shiya Dhar Yatra is revered by devotees across the region for its religious importance and its role in preserving the cultural heritage of the area.

The District Administration has ensured comprehensive arrangements for the smooth and safe conduct of the yatra. Medical aid camps, drinking water points, and resting facilities have been set up along the route. Additionally, security personnel have been strategically deployed to ensure the safety of all participants throughout the pilgrimage.

Officials also emphasized the importance of communal harmony and the preservation of traditional religious practices through such yatras. The administration urged the pilgrims to maintain discipline and cooperate with authorities to make the yatra a peaceful and spiritually enriching experience for all involved.
