DODA, OCTOBER 01: As a part of the ongoing Swasth Nari Sakshat Parivar 2025 campaign and under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, the District Red Cross Society in collaboration with Blood Centre Government Medical College (GMC) Doda today organized a Blood Donation Camp here at College Campus to mark the of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.
The Medical College Principal Dr. Rakesh Bahl, inaugurated the camp as the Chief Guest in the presence of Dr. Sumat-ul-Khursheed (HOD Pathology), Dr. Abdul Gafoor (BMO Ghat), Dr. Younis Saleem Bhat (HOD Dentistry) and others.
As many as 21 persons including IRP Jawans, GMC Staff, MBBS students, JK Bank Staff and other volunteers donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, The Principal GMC welcomed the District Red Cross Society and the Blood Centre for organizing the camp. He further emphasized the importance of blood donation, terming it a noble cause that not only saves lives but also strengthens the spirit of humanity and social responsibility.
The District Red Cross Society extended heartfelt thanks to all participants and assured that such camps will continue to be organized in the district in the future.
At the end of the programme, a pledge was also taken by the staff in the presence of the Chief Guest, reaffirming their commitment to promote voluntary blood donation and serve humanity with dedication.
