KUPWARA, DECEMBER 22: In a vibrant display of people-centric governance, the District Administration Kupwara organized a series of Special Camps across all tehsils of the district under the ongoing “Sushasan Saptah–Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore” initiative.
The outreach campaign, observed as part of Good Governance Week 2025, aims to bring administrative services and grievance redressal mechanisms closer to the grassroots level, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to responsive, transparent and accountable public service delivery.
These Special Camps are conducted at designated venues in all tehsils throughout the district, providing direct engagement opportunities between citizens and officers from various government departments. The initiative focused on listening to public concerns, resolving grievances on the spot wherever possible, and ensuring effective delivery of essential services under multiple central and UT-sponsored schemes.
During the camps, officials from key departments recorded citizens’ feedback on a wide range of issues including infrastructure development, power and water supply, healthcare, education, social welfare schemes, roads and other essential public services. Cases requiring further action were documented and forwarded to the concerned departments for timely follow-up and resolution.
Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Shrikant Suse emphasized the significance of these outreach activities, stating that they embody the spirit of Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore, taking administration to the people’s doorsteps. He appealed to citizens to take full advantage of the services being offered, and assured that the administration will continue to act upon the feedback received for timely redressal and improved service delivery.
These Special Camps form an integral part of the Good Governance Week, a nationwide campaign launched by the Government of India through the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The initiative reaffirms the government’s vision of strengthening last-mile governance, enhancing transparency and accountability, and ensuring citizen-centric administrative practices.
