Special Phase of Vande Matram’s 150 Year celebrations:

SHOPIAN, MARCH 24: The second day of the ongoing Special Phase of Vande Mataram’s 150 years of celebrations was marked with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit across Shopian where a series of programmes were organized at educational institutions.

In order to ensure maximum student engagement, various programmes were organized in schools and colleges, including symposiums, debates , writing and other creative competitions, in which a large number of students participated.

Two major events were held in GDC Zianapora and GDC Shopian where a large number of students participated in activities honouring the spirit of Vande Matram and the sacrifices of national martyrs.The events were led by respective Principals of the colleges along with the gathering of faculty members.

The Education Department organised the mass singing events and other creative competitions on the theme across the schools of the district especially at the Higher Secondary and Secondary schools.

The activities aimed to create awareness about the historical significance of Vande Mataram and to inspire the younger generation with the spirit of patriotism.

The celebrations are part of the ongoing week-long series of events being organised to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram, with different departments and educational institutions actively participating to make the programme successful.
