Spirited events held across Jammu Division to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

JAMMU, OCTOBER 31: Reaffirming their pride in India’s diverse heritage, District administrations, individual departments and Educational institutions across Jammu Division hosted spirited events to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Taking the unity pledge, the participants expressed their resolve to contribute towards an inclusive and united India.

At Poonch: JK UT Foundation Day and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was observed in Poonch at the Police Line. The event witnessed the pledge taking ceremony “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge” by all Officers and Officials.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment towards preserving the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. The pledge emphasized the importance of spreading this message among fellow countrymen and was taken in the spirit of unification of the country. All the officers present paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary, honouring his legacy as India’s first home minister and the Iron Man of the Nation.

AT RAMBAN: In celebration of National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), government offices across Ramban district held pledge ceremonies to emphasize unity and integrity.
Under the aegis of district administration Ramban, district officials and staff from numerous departments participated enthusiastically in the event. Employees from the Chief Medical Office, Hospitals, and associated health institutions joined in the pledge ceremonies to promote a unified nation.

At Doda: To commemorate National Unity Day, a solemn Rashtriya Ekta Pledge ceremony was held here at the DC office, reaffirming the commitment to the principles of unity, integrity, and harmony. The ceremony, organized to honor the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, witnessed active participation from officers and officials of the District Administration Doda.
The event commenced with the administration of the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge, led by senior Officers and officials, as participants pledged to uphold the unity and integrity of India.

DIPR Jammu: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu organized a pledge-taking ceremony today to commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, a day dedicated to promoting national unity and integrity.
The event, led by Joint Director Information Atul Gupta, aimed to reinforce the spirit of unity among the officials and staff of DIPR. Gupta administered the Rashtriya Ekta pledge, emphasizing the importance of collective strength and solidarity in fostering a cohesive Nation.

AT UDHAMPUR: Information Department Udhampur, in collaboration with District Administration organized a vibrant cultural program here at the Open Air Theatre, Devika Ghat to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas observed every year on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

District Development Council Chairperson, Lal Chand was the chief guest. Member Legislative Assembly Udhampur West, Pawan Kumar Gupta, attended as the guest of honour, while Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, presided over the program.

The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries.
The Deputy Commissioner administered the unity pledge to all attendees, urging them to uphold the unity, integrity and security of the nation while committing to spread this message among fellow citizens.
The program featured thematic cultural performances presented by local artists and those from the Information Department.

School Education Directorate Jammu: In a powerful expression of commitment to National unity and integrity, the Directorate of School Education Jammu observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) with enthusiasm and reverence under the guidance of Director Ashok Sharma.

The observance began with the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge at the Directorate office. The solemn moment served as a reminder of the values championed by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of national unity, whose birth anniversary is commemorated on this day.

The pledge-taking ceremony extended beyond the Directorate office, reaching allied offices of the School Education Department across Jammu, including Chief Education Officers (CEO) Offices, Zonal Education Officers (ZEO) Offices, and other associated offices.

Sheep Husbandry Department: A pledge taking ceremony was organized at Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) while paying tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel – the architect of the National Integration of Independent India on his birth anniversary. Dr. Syed Moin-ul-Haq administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to all officers/officials. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to preserve the unity, Integrity and security

Agriculture Directorate Jammu: The Directorate of Agriculture Production and Farmers’ Welfare Jammu observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at the Krishi Bhawan Complex.

Led by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension/SLUB) Satish Sharma, the sectoral heads, officers and staff took a unity pledge to reaffirm their commitment towards strengthening the unity, integrity, and security of the Nation.

Fire and Emergency Services Hqrs: Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated by Fire and Emergency Services Hqrs Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Alok Kumar, ADGP Director Fire and Emergency Services took Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge along with other senior officers from the Department, reaffirming to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among fellow countrymen. “I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country” they pledged further.

Similar functions were held across the UT at command and Range level DFES also extended Diwali Greetings to Jawans and Staff of the Department during the function held at Jammu Hqrs.
