Srinagar Nov 18: As a display of nature’s artistry, the Mughal Gardens in Srinagar have transformed into a captivating canvas of warm hues as the enchanting season of “Harud” paints Kashmir in a mesmerizing palette of orange and brown.

The renowned Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and Chashme Shahi, have become a major attraction for both locals and tourists seeking to witness the picturesque beauty of autumn in the valley. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, creating an immersive experience for visitors.

“Harud”, the local term for autumn in Kashmir, has bestowed its magical touch upon the landscape, turning the already stunning Mughal Gardens into a kaleidoscope of warm tones.

Local residents and tourists alike while expressing their delight, told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the Mughal Gardens have never looked more captivating, as autumn brings a unique charm to Kashmir, and these gardens showcase the true essence of the season.

“Autumn is the most beautiful season of Kashmir, and I have travelled all along from south Kashmir to have a look at the famous Shalimar garden.

I will enjoy its beauty and also capture pictures here that will remind me about this beautiful experience for a lifetime,” said Jibran Ahmad from Pulwama.

Likewise, tourists are equally captivated by the beauty that unfolds during this time of the year.

Ankit Kumar, a visitor from Mumbai, said, “I have never seen anything quite like this. The colours are simply breathtaking, and the history embedded in these gardens adds to the overall experience.”

Mughal Gardens date back to the 16th century when Emperor Jahangir commissioned their creation and design to reflect the concept of ‘Paradise on Earth’. These gardens boast a harmonious blend of Persian, Central Asian and Indian architectural styles—(KNO)
