JAMMU, DECEMBER 20: The students of the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) of Government College of Education Jammu, organized a captivating Collage-Making Exhibition under Art Education.

The exhibition embodied the ethos of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by promoting Art-Integrated Education, fostering creativity, and enhancing holistic development.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of the college’s Principal, Dr. Jyoti Parihar, who was highly impressed by the innovation and artistry displayed by the students.

Under the expert guidance of the Art Teacher, Malti Sharma, the students showcased a variety of handmade collages, reflecting diverse themes such as social harmony, environmental sustainability, cultural heritage, and the importance of education. Each collage highlighted the students’ dedication, creativity, and understanding of integrating art into education.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Jyoti Parihar lauded the efforts of the students for their brilliant display of creativity and teamwork. She also appreciated the visionary mentorship provided by Malti Sharma and acknowledged the guidance and support of Dr. Rakesh Bharti, the Coordinator of ITEP, for facilitating such innovative learning experiences.

The exhibition witnessed active participation from the entire college community, with faculty members and students from various departments coming together to appreciate the remarkable efforts of the participants. The event provided a platform for students to express their ideas visually, enhance their artistic skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the role of art in education.

The collage themes were thoughtfully chosen to resonate with contemporary issues and educational values. The innovative use of colors, textures, and recycled materials stood out, reflecting the students’ commitment to sustainability and their creativity in reimagining everyday objects into meaningful art pieces.
The exhibition concluded with a vote of thanks extended by the ITEP Coordinator, Dr. Rakesh Bharti.
