REASI, JUNE 25: District Administration Reasi today organised SVANidhi Mahotsav at Reasi to celebrate the success of the PM SVANidhi Scheme and promote financial inclusion among street vendors.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek attended as chief guest and felicitated beneficiaries for utilising the scheme to strengthen their livelihoods. The programme was attended by PM SVANidhi beneficiaries, banking officials and officers from various departments.
Addressing the gathering, the DC said that the PM SVANidhi Scheme is a platform designed to link street vendors with multiple welfare schemes and financial services. He urged beneficiaries to make full use of the financial assistance to expand their businesses and move towards long-term financial stability. He informed beneficiaries about Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), and encouraged all to enrol for financial protection and social security.
He further noted that timely loan repayment builds creditworthiness and opens access to larger loans in future.
Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Krishan Lal, Manager J&K Bank, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Reasi and other officials.
