REASI, AUGUST 24: The SVEEP team today organised a kite flying event in Bhimgarh fort Reasi to promote voter awareness among the people.
The highlight of the event was the declaration made by DEO “Mein Voter Vishesh Mahajan” with an appeal to voters to use the tagline till 25th September- the voting day to promote voting behaviour.
The event witnessed participation of first time voters, women, elders, students from schools and colleges. Participants wrote their names on kites before flying them, symbolizing their commitment to participating in the democratic process. They also chanted slogans “Mein Voter hoon” during the event.
“Colourful kites adorned with the word voter represent our commitment towards democracy and spreading awareness about the voting day in Reasi i.e 25th September,” he said.
The event was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Nodal Officer MCC Kulbhushan Khajuria, Addl. SP Iftekhar Ahmed, Dy. DEO Rakesh Kumar, RO-57 Anshumali Sharma, Nodal Officer SVEEP Sachin Sharma and other district officers.
