DODA, MARCH 23: On the directions of District Election Officer Doda, Harvinder Singh, School Education Department Doda today organised different activities under SVEEP programme at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Doda.
Large number of students from different institutions (Govt and Private) participated in different activities like Poster making/Painting, Debate/Symposium and awareness Campaign during the programme.
The program was attended by Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa; DEPO Doda Dr. Anis Ahmed; Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Doda Tanveer Ahmed Wani, Public representatives, Voters, Staff and students of different institutions.
The objective of the programme was to impart knowledge and understanding to new voters as well as community members regarding the electoral process and to instigate a sense of responsibility among them to actively participate in the democratic process by casting their valuable votes.
The Principal HSS Boys Doda briefed about the importance of elections in a democratic set up.
A Pledge, symbolizing commitment towards democratic values and exercise of Voting rights was also administered to all the participants.
