BANDIPORA AUGUST 02: As part of Swachata Pakhwada 2024 and as a tribute to the martyrs, the District Information Office Bandipora organised a plantation drive titled “Ek Ped Shahidoon Ke Naam” to honour the sacrifices of martyrs and promote environmental conservation.

The event took place in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Bandipora and saw enthusiastic participation from District Information Officer (DIO), Aadil Manzoor Wani, and officials of the Information Department.

On the occasion, DIO, Aadil Manzoor, highlighted the importance of remembering and honouring the brave souls who laid down their lives for the country.

The plantation drive also aligns with the district’s ongoing efforts under Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 to enhance green cover and contribute to a healthier environment, he added.

Aadil Manzoor said, this plantation drive is a small gesture to pay homage to our martyrs who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, and by planting these trees, we are not only remembering the valour of the nation’s martyrs but also contributing to the well-being of our environment.

In his message, DIO appealed everyone to actively participate in the campaigns that are being observed during the fortnight initiative to honour the martyrs & contributing to clean & green environment.
