RAMBAN, JULY 06: In a dynamic and spirited initiative, the Department of Social Welfare, Ramban demonstrated unwavering commitment and enthusiasm in its fight against drug abuse.

Under the astute supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Rahul Gupta, and guided by the visionary directions of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, a groundbreaking group discussion was organized to address the pressing issue of drug addiction among the youth.

Held at Govt GHSS, Ramban, the event brought together an energetic assembly of young minds, determined to tackle the pervasive drug menace plaguing our community. The discussion served as a platform for the youth to voice their concerns, share experiences, and propose innovative solutions to curb drug abuse.
Rahul Gupta, in his opening remarks, emphasized the pivotal role of youth in creating a drug-free society. “Our young generation holds the key to a brighter, healthier future. Together, we can combat this menace and build a community where every individual thrives,” he asserted.

The event witnessed a series of passionate exchanges, with participants delving into the harmful impacts of drug abuse on physical and mental health, societal fabric, and overall well-being. The youth discussed effective strategies, including enhanced awareness campaigns, stringent enforcement of anti-drug laws, and robust support systems for those battling addiction.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of determination and a collective pledge to work tirelessly towards eradicating drug abuse from Ramban. Participants left with a clear message: United, we stand strong against drugs.

This landmark event underscores the Department of Social Welfare’s dedication to fostering a healthy, drug-free Ramban. Under the steadfast leadership of DSWO Ramban and the strategic guidance of DC Ramban, the district is making significant strides in safeguarding the well-being of its youth and community at large.
