JAMMU, FEBRUARY 01: The Department of Social Welfare, Jammu & Kashmir, has successfully restarted the Elderline Helpline (14567) across the Union Territory.
The helpline will now be available daily from 8 AM to 8 PM, providing essential support and assistance to senior citizens. A dedicated team of trained counselors will offer emotional support, legal guidance, and information on welfare schemes, ensuring that elderly individuals receive the care and assistance they need.
Director, Social Welfare Department Jammu Rupesh Kumar, stated βThe re-launch of Elderline 14567 reaffirms our commitment to the well-being of senior citizens in Jammu & Kashmir. Many elderly individuals face loneliness, legal struggles, and difficulty in accessing welfare schemes. This helpline will serve as a crucial support system, offering them the necessary guidance and assistance.β
